14 January 2027
In the month of Posh, Brihaspati Dham Mandir offers Posh Bada Prasad โ patties (bada/pakora) and halwa offered to Lord Brihaspati on the second Thursday of the new year.
In the Hindu month of Posh โ starting from approximately mid-December and ending mid-January โ Brihaspati Dham Mandir organises the Posh Bada Offering (Prasad).
On this day, patties (pakoras / bada) made from lentils, and halwa made from fine semolina (suji / besan), are offered to the idol of Lord Dev Guru Brihaspati. The offering happens before or after the Maha Aarti โ and since Maha Aarti takes place every Thursday, this Posh Bada Prasad is celebrated on the second Thursday of every new year.
