About Brihaspati Dham Mandir
The first temple in the world dedicated to Dev Guru Brihaspati — founded by Guru Narendra Sharma in 2009 after a vision from Lord Brihaspati himself, and expanded over the years to include Dhaneshwar Mahadev and Dakshin Mukhi Veer Hanuman.
2009
The Grand Vision
The construction of Brihaspati Dham Mandir was completed on 7 July 2009. The temple sits in Jaipur, near the old city centre and roughly ten minutes from the airport, along the banks of the Dravyavati river.
Guru Narendra Sharma began the temple's construction after a divine vision in which Lord Dev Guru Brihaspati instructed him to build a magnificent temple dedicated to Brihaspati himself. The initial construction was completed in 45 days — every challenge that arose along the way fell away under the boom of Lord Brihaspati.
Year by year, devotees have seen continuous improvements at the temple — big and small — all attributed to Lord Brihaspati's blessings and the enduring support of the Brihaspati Pariwar.
2011
Brihaspati and Shiva
A Shiv Linga was established at the temple in 2011, named Dhaneshwar Mahadev — the provider of wealth. Since Lord Brihaspati is also revered as a wealth-giver, worshipping both deities together is believed to amplify their blessings.
The Shiv Linga faces south — a rare orientation. Since the day of its establishment, Poorna Rudra Abhishek has been performed every single day on Dhaneshwar Mahadev.
2014
Brihaspati and Hanuman
In 2014, Dakshin Mukhi Veer Hanuman was installed at the temple — the statue facing south, oriented toward the main idol of Lord Brihaspati.
Both Dhaneshwar Mahadev and Dakshin Mukhi Veer Hanuman flank the main entrance, each facing Lord Brihaspati — a layout that follows the original divine specifications received by the founder.
